In today's world, there is a huge need for a consistent system to store personal notes. The emergence of internet submerges us with a flow of information we cannot manage. The human memory is limited, and it is easy to lose track. Tagnotes is an intent to solve this problem.
Tagnotes is a personnal note taking system, which uses tags (or keywords) to organize ideas. The user can post notes, which contain a title, note body and a certain number of tags to classify the post.
The use of tags will permit advanced classification and research capabilities, including automated research of relationships between tags, search of related notes, etc. This should allow the user to organize his thoughts and to build bridges between different areas of his thinking.
The project is written in Python and uses sqlite as a backend for data storage. This design is inherently portable to different platforms. The current implementation provides a basic tagging and data storage library, as well as a basic shell interface. The idea is to evolve towards a nice web interface. The library will remain separate from the interface, and hopefully with the experience of this program, will be reusable for other projects.
